The Lifeguard course provides entry-level participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies. Participants will be able to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel arrive and take over. Certification requirements include complete the prerequisites, attend all dates and pass all required testing. Lifeguarding classes include resuscitation masks and fanny packs.
Prerequisites: Lifeguard candidates must be at least 16 years old to enter the course and swim a minimum of 50 yards without stopping, 50 yards with a rescue tube, tread water for 1 minute using only legs and retrieve a 10-pound object from the bottom of the pool.

The American Red Cross WSI course is designed to train swim lesson instructors. Participants must be 16 years of age by the last day of class and be able to complete American Red Cross Learn-To-Swim Level 4 exit skills. Pre-test of level 4 skills will be done on the first day of class. Shortly after registration, an e-mail link will be sent to each participant for the prerequisite work online.
Prerequisites:
Be at least 16 years of age on or before the final scheduled lesson of this course.
Demonstrate the ability to perform the following swimming skills: Swim strokes consistent with the Stroke Performance Charts, Level 4
Maintain position on back for 1 minute in deep water (floating or sculling).
Tread water for 1 minute.

This LGI/LGIT course review is for LGIs/LGITs to recertify. Participants conduct water skills and review administrative procedures. Price varies on travel/rental charges, Ardo's staff volunteers the time for the course.

We provide CPR, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration courses using the American Red Cross curriculum. All courses include required supplies and breathing barriers for students. Recertification courses are all $75 and combination courses (CPR/AED/First Aid) are all $110.
The purpose of the American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers course is to train professional-level rescuers to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children, and infants until more advanced medical personnel take over. This program is offered in both traditional instructor-led and blended learning delivery types.
